The Chino Valley FFA Memorial Team Roping is having a memorial event in honor of Jeramy Plumb. He was a local former Agricultural Education Teacher at Chino Valley High School, who lost his battle with cancer.

On March 14, 2018, Jeramy Plumb passed away losing his fight against pancreatic cancer, leaving behind a wife and three kids. Because of his background as a former agriculture education teacher at Casa Grande Union High School and career and technical education director/agriculture education teacher at Chino Valley High School, he became program director at Mountain Institute Joint Technology Education District in 2009.

He eventually became superintendent of (MIJTED) in 2013. Plumb worked hard to support the JTED funding that allowed kids to study agriculture and technical education. Moreover, without his dedication and passion for career and technical education (CTE), funding would not have been passed.

This quote by a colleague says it all. “To know Jeramy was to love Jeramy. He was everything that is right and good in this world,” said Maggie Wimbough, administrative assistant at Mountain Institute. Also, if you are interested you in the scholarship set up in Jeramy Plumbs name please send your donations to Mountain Institute JTED.

Join us for this great cause on Saturday, May 18! Register at 9 am and roping starts at 10 am.
