  2. Insects and Worms– Embed your plants in healthy soil replete with insects and worms. This will can help reduce the need for pesticides.
  3. Compost- Incorporate composted vegetable food waste which has many nutrients that plants love. By mixing it to your soil it will give your garden a healthy boost. 
  4. Organic Pesticides – Bacillus thuringiensis (“Bt”) is a bacterium that kills most leaf-eating caterpillars on trees, shrubs, flowers and vegetables. It is safe for other insects, animals and humans.
  5. Insecticide Soaps– You can use pet insecticide soaps that control pet fleas and place these near the base of plants to repel insects.
