Meet Ava, a cute 11-week old avalanche rescue dog. Ava is training to be Arizona Snowball’s first ever avalanche dog or should we say puppy. Their first puppy in training, Ava, short for Avalanche, is a ski search-and-rescue dog in the making.

This ski resort located in Flagstaff, AZ hasAva the avalanche dog implemented their first avalanche dog rescue program. Although avalanches are rare in Arizona, Arizona Snowball wants to be prepared. Search and rescue dogs jobs are to find those skiers who are buried in deep avalanche snow.  These dogs put in long hours of training.

Olsen’s Grain sponsor’s Ava by providing her with Fromm dog food. Her grueling 4 hour a day training gets her up and out in the cold snow. Fromm dog food helps keep Ava active with the nutrients she needs to keep her energy up. Olsen’s Grain is proud to support Ava in reaching her goal to be a certified avalanche rescue dog.
