Grass Seeds at Olsen’s Grain

• Elite Lawn Mix, 25 pound
  This mixture of turfgrass species is designed to create an economical, weather-tolerant, hardy lawn. The three species in our Elite Lawn Mixture were specially selected to withstand poor growing conditions and lower management levels. This mixture is ideally suited for parks, athletic fields and home lawns where a tough, insect and disease resistant turf with a dark green color is desired. It will grow well throughout the cooler, semi-arid elevations of the desert southwest. In Arizona, this blend is recommended for elevations over 3000’ with supplemental irrigation. This mixture is especially valuable in areas of poor, non-uniform soil where other, higher quality turf grasses will not perform. This mixture contains turf-type perennial ryegrass, fine fescue, and Kentucky Bluegrass. 
• Pasture Mix, 25 pound
  This long-time favorite is a versatile pasture, this mix contains a variety of grasses & legumes that adapt to a variety of soil types & conditions. The mixture is well suited for non-irrigated areas but will respond well to irrigation & good management. High yields & excellent protein content are the hallmarks of this mixture. 
• Potomac Orchard Grass
  This seed produces bunch-type, tall-growing, cool-season perennial grass. This is the most productive cool-season grasses, tolerant to shade, fairly drought resistant with moderate Winter hardiness. Orchard grass is fast-growing and matures very early in the Spring. This grass is easy to establish and has a dense root system. It grows on a wide range of soil types, doing well in low-fertility soils, but also responding well to high-fertility soils. This mix is made up of 30% Orchardgrass,  25% Endophyte Free Tall Fescue, 10% Tetraploid Perennial Ryegrass, 10% Climax Timothy, 10% Tetraploid Annual Ryegrass, 10% Medium Red Clover and 10% New Zealand White Clover.
• Rye Grass
  This is sure to green up your yard or provide green gazing grasses during the cold months.  We stock a variety of Rye Grass seeds for your lawn and pastures.
